The original base tune of Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi from Awara (1951) by Shankar Jaikishan was derived from this arabic song by the late Egyptian singer Umm Kalthoum. The song is "Ala Balad El Mahbub"
 
Thanks to Astrologer Hemant Mehta for pointing it out on FB. According to him, Lata Mangeshkar is a fan of Oum Kulthoum the singer of this song. arabic version was in 1936 and nargis version with awara movie was in 1951 om kalthum is first with riyadh al sunbaty.
