Following requests received from many of our dear listeners specially some senior citizens who wanted an additional programme of SUNEHRE PAL, It gives me immense pleasure to be inviting you all to a special songs' listening session of 'SUNEHRE PAL' to be held on Wednesday, the 26th January, 2011.

Details are as under:

Venue: BHAVNA TRUST DEGREE COLLEGE
NEAR SHIVAJI STATUE
CHEMBUR, MUMBAI 400 071

(Convenient landmark : Next to State Bank of India, Deonar Branch and Subalakshmi Hotel)

Time: 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm. As per normal practice, our session would commence at 6.00 pm sharp; it is hence requested that everyone reaches the venue on time.

Theme: SENIOR CITIZENS' SPECIAL EPISODE

Only songs of the nostalgic era (late 40's to early 60's) would be played. Some of these would be non-film songs as well. Alternatively they could call me on 25282750 or 9819323860.

For the benefit of the relatively newcomers, this is to advise that our unique group SUNEHRE PAL has been growing in number and comprises more than 150 avid enthusiasts drawn from all parts of Mumbai as evident from the very encouraging participation during the last few months. Many of our members are senior citizens, which has been quite heartening to note. This to be viewed in the context of the initial response we received for the first programme on May 9th 2009 when we had a modest audience of 40. The sheer pleasure of listening to these songs that have no expiry date is absolutely blissful. Some of the very themes we have had over the past few months.....

Songs based on Classical ragas
Madhubala's film songs
Mohammad Rafisaab special (2 episodes)
Memorable duets from yesteryears
Songs based on Chand and Chandni
Hemant Kumar special
Female duets
O.P.Nayyar special
Lataji sings for various music directors
Barsaat ka mausam
Remembering C.Ramchandra
Sahir Ludhianvi's songs
Songs beginning with a shayri or rubai
Duets of Mukesh
Madan Mohan - Yaadein

Based on feedback received from some of you, many more exciting themes are lined up for the months ahead. You may please bring your like-minded friends along with you.

I am quite confident of receiving the usual overwhelming response in making our evening a musically memorable one.

Best wishes
