Many people often confuse between both the terms.

Tandem and Version Songs
There is another category of Version songs also ofcourse. The same song when sung by other singers (sung in programs, in other albums or records not related to the film) are also called Version songs. 
Here is a list of some examples as made by Nimii (where other singer is not mentioned, it is Kishore by default). Thanks to Nimii for the work.
