All the songs were penned by Aziz Kashmiri, Music by Vinod. The film was directed by Roop Shorey. The film was released in Lahore on 6 August, 1948.
The songs of the film were superhit both sides of the border. Apart from Pushpa Chopra's songs on records the songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar. According to many, these were her first superhit songs and her work with Ghulam Haider, Naushad and others came only later. 
It has also been revealed recently that some of these songs were sung by Pushpa Chopra ji in the film version and were very popular. Her version of folk songs Chann Kithaan Guzaari Raat Ve and Saari Saari Raat Takni Aan Raah are remembered to this day.
