When Raj Kapoor sang Vinod's song from Bhaiyaji at a wedding sangeet! PDF Print E-mail

Vinod's son-in-law Kelly ji remembers One more interesting anecdote:

It was the marriage of H. S. Rawail's elder daughter, Roshni. The occasion was the "sangeet". It was a very family affair. It happened at the Rawail bungalow at Marol. Raj Kapoor was attending as was my wife, Veera. He got in the mood to sing, and picked up a dholak and started singing. In the course of singing other songs, he suddenly sang Vinodji's "Mainu mereya dukhane gheriya" his very famous punjabi song from "Bhaiyaji".
Interestingly, this is the same song which had also inspired O.P. Nayyar as mentioned in this article here. You can listen to both versions there.
